The Arizona Association of Realtors published a neat brochure that outlines some of the things new homebuyers should be aware of when purchasing property in Arizona. Download a copy of the brochure here: HomeBuyer’s Checklist.
The brochure gives a list of some items the buyer is responsible for in a real estate transaction in Arizona such as property inspections, reviewing documents, hiring a home inspector, and a few other good tips.
One of the most important things a buyer can do to protect themselves in purchasing property is to hire an independent home inspector to inspect the property from roof to foundation. A good home inspector can help you decide the difference between a major repair vs a minor repair and in the end could help you avoid buying a house with a lot of hidden problems.
The brochure also gives a quick overview of the role your Realtor will play in representing you in your purchase. We’ll be able to help you locate possible properties and also help you narrow your search so that you can find the home you’re looking for. We’re also here to answer any questions you may have, or point you in the direction of someone who can answer your question if we aren’t qualified to provide the answer.
Also included is a list of other items a buyer might want to look into while searching for that perfect property.
While this brochure gives a good overview, it is not a substitute for advice from a local Realtor in your area. Each Realtor specializes in a unique market area and will be able to help guide you through your home purchase.
